- College.gov's Facebook Page: Weekly tips, info and links from the U.S. Department of Education.
- Colleges That Change Lives: Change Lives, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to

- CUNY Schools: This is the main website associated with the City University of New York. Each CUNY school can be researched in depth, including campus virtual tours, college statistics and much more.
- EduTrek Comprehensive and Neutral College Search Engine: This site provides a free searchable database including all colleges in the United States. In addition, there is information about the risks and rewards of attending college, college majors, paying for college, and test preparation.

- Paradigm Online Writing Lab: Help with choosing what to write, organizing ideas and revising and editing drafts
- The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL): Information sheets on the following topics: Grammar, Spelling Rules, Correct Formats for Different Styles of Letters, Advice on Coping with Writer's Block, Proofreading Tips, ALA and MLA Format
- WebMath: Webmath is an interactive math-help web site that provides computerized step by step tutorials on most individual problems in almost any math topic. It is designed to give students immediate help with the particular math problem they are working on.

- College Board's Full Practice test: Free official 2012-12 SAT practice test. Other tests available for purchase
- Dome SAT: Offers free study guides, vocabulary drills and practice tests. Other modules available for purchase.
- I Need A Pencil: The nonprofit CK-12 Foundation offers 60 lessons, more than 800 practice exam questions, and a score projector (which predicts how the user will score on the real SAT)
- March 2 Success: This site, a collaboration of the U.S. Army and the publishers of Peterson Guides, offers 7 full-length practice tests for the SAT and ACT and 25 decks of flash cards--20 verbal and 5 math ranging in difficulty from easy to hard
- Number2.com: This site offers free online test prep courses for the SAT, ACT and GRE. You must enroll to access these customized courses.
- ProProfs: Build and Test Knowledge: Provides free practice exams, study guides, flashcards, quizzes, cram sheets, articles, links and tips to help you succeed on the SAT exam!
- Quizlet: Quizlet claims to make simple tools that make studying anything easier. The prep materials for the SATs, PSATs, ACTs, AP tests and more, are located in the "Standardized Tests" section.
- SAT Question of the Day: There's anew question every day, complete with a strategic explanation and hint.
- Study Guide Zone: This site offers free resources for a wide variety of tests including the SAT, PSAT, ACT and GED. In addition to test study guides, flash cards and practice questions, there is a "College Tips" advice section.
